Engineering works and a rail replacement bus service between Three Bridges and Haywards Heath meant that only three participants were with Clare at the start but two others joined the party at Glynde where we had an early lunch stop at the 'Trevor Arms'. We also had a tea stop at Rodmell, at 'The Abergavenny Arms' and, in between, had a look at the wall paintings in Southease Church. Once back in Lewes, and in fading light, Clare showed Tokiko and me the remains of the Priory of St Pancras, which were fascinating. In the end the distance we covered was around 13 miles.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YhH6IAykE40/TWE1nx6QeXI/AAAAAAAABXk/jw8Om0N6bJo/s400/IMG_5958.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575796771190241650" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JJk92MuqJOg/TWE1no43N0I/AAAAAAAABXc/KzucTRNkKg0/s400/IMG_5959.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575796768768472898" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iujco-f1jDc/TWE1nftr_1I/AAAAAAAABXU/4DqxA-_72OA/s400/IMG_5975.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575796766305681234" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iNvnP9tjl18/TWE1nIjk2qI/AAAAAAAABXM/GE5nLF48e34/s400/IMG_5977.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575796760089254562" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eA3IdMmUXHo/TWE1nDs0JzI/AAAAAAAABXE/hvoCPkEHDlY/s400/IMG_5987.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575796758785828658" />Stevehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03145628033137118430noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2043602405764314624.post-10158098982120239392011-01-19T20:37:00.008+00:002011-01-26T22:59:13.377+00:00London Parks in the Snow...Earlier last year I published some Photographs by Stella Stocker. The first half is through fields, over a few hills and the flood-plain of River Lee. The second part through Epping Forest is glorious, especially the section through Loughton Camp.

The weather was not as glorious as the views and Train cancellations must also have put some people off, but it was disappointing that only two other people turned up. I would have been happier if there had been more walkers benefitting from my labour of love."

.Stevehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03145628033137118430noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2043602405764314624.post-88102762463585273032010-09-15T20:18:00.011+01:002010-11-03T21:13:38.293+00:00I attach photographs taken on Wednesday's 12 mile walk from Tring to Berkhamstead led by Pat Hully from which to make a selection for your blog.

[Pat is pictured below].

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Hd95qRet4Y0/TNHNOp4wdBI/AAAAAAAABNQ/C2jeKxzigxc/s400/IMG_3695.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5535431068660823058" />

There were 11 of us in the party

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Hd95qRet4Y0/TNHNNvBI1YI/AAAAAAAABM4/WLdKffWEisw/s400/IMG_3719.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5535431052858283394" />

and the weather was quite good although cooler than of late.
